On March 18th, a “blue jacket” donation activity was held by the Central Africa Regional Center. Stationery, sport and educational supplies were donated to the Bume Primary School in Kribi, Cameroon. The ceremony saw the presence of Yan Haifeng, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Regional Center, Martial Madiba, Mayor of the First District of Kribi, Léa Inongo Bopélé, Inspector of the Education Department of the First District of Kribi, the principal and teachers of Bume Primary School, parents , local media and the important personalities of the Project General Manager Department of Kribi.
In his speech, Yan Haifeng presented CHEC’s objectives and the construction of the Kribi Deepwater Port Project, and called on Chinese enterprises to fulfill their social responsibilities and contributein furthering friendship between China and Cameroon. At the end of the ceremony, Yan Haifeng accepted an interview on behalf of the Regional Center. All blue jacket volunteers, representatives of institutions, teachers, and students, took a group picture.
Bume Primary School is situated near the Kribi Port in Cameroon. It is one of the local primary schools under harsh teaching and learning conditions. The Regional Center provided backpacks, stationery,, sports and educational supplies to the school which improved the its teaching and learning conditions. This activity goes to show the company's core value of "fulfilling its responsibilities, providing society with high quality products and establishing win-win cooperation". Moreover, it embodies the voluntary spirit of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and progress", and furthers friendly interactions between Chinese and Cameroonians to build a better society featuring solidarity, mutual assistance, equality, friendship and progress.
