From June 13 to June 16, the 2019 World Transport Convention hosted by China Society for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Transport and the Chinese Academy of Engineering was held at the China National Convention Center. Themed on “Green and Intelligent Mobility for Future Transport”, experts and scholars from various countries exchanged ideas and discussed the latest level of scientific and technological achievements and development trends in the world transport sector. Song Hailiang - President of CCCG was invited to the opening ceremony of the Convention and he delivered a speech. Sun Ziyu, -Vice President of CCCG, presided over the Third Session of Belt & Road International Transport Symposium. Lin Yichong - President of CHEC attended the opening ceremony, and Huang Yongye - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of CHEC attended the Symposium.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Song Hailiang briefly presented CCCG. He pointed out that transport is the fundamental, service-oriented, leading and strategic industry of economic and social development. Moreover, he offered three suggestions: first, being driven by innovation, CCCG needs to be a leader in cutting-edge transport technology; second, with digital integration, CCCG needs to be a forerunner of intelligent transport; third, giving priority to ecology, CCCG needs to be a protector of the green transport system.
During the convention, Mr. Lin Yichong and Mr. Huang Yongye visited the transport science and technology expo held simultaneously and watched the booth of CCCG. Focusing on the core technologies in the seven fields - expressway, frozen-soil highway, bridge, tunnel, port, automatic wharf and dredging, the booth of CCCG displayed typical projects and equipment such as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the Lekki Port in Nigeria, the Yangshan Port in Shanghai and the Tiankun Suction Vessel, demonstrating the strength of CCCG.
