Cote d'Ivoire's Minister of Transport Touré Inspected Abidjan Port Expansion Project

On September 15, Cote d'Ivoire's Minister of Transport Touré inspected Abidjan Port Expansion Project in the company of Director of Abidjan Autonomous Port Authority HienSié.

Minister Touré and Director HienSié first visited the basin dredging site and eastern breakwater site, and then, they arrived at the Azito Campsite of the project. After listening to the detailed introduction of relevant responsible people of the project, Minister Touré enquired about the caisson prefabrication situation, problems in the project implementation process and the follow-up work plan.

During the inspection, Minister Touré and Director HienSié accepted the interview of local media at the site. Minister Touré pointed out that Abidjan Port, as the first largest port in Cote d'Ivoire and even West Africa, had an important historical position and realistic significance. The excellent project management displayed the good quality of CHEC as an internationally well-known maritime work contractor, and he hoped that CHEC could make concerted efforts to the take-off of Cote d'Ivoire's transport.
