On December 9, CHEC “Big Hands Holding Small Hands to See the World Together” Volunteer Service Team and Dongcheng District Xizhong Street Primary School jointly held the activity of “Walking into CCCC to Feel the Charm of this State-owned Enterprise”. Under the leadership of the teachers and volunteers of CCCC and CHEC, 25 primary school pupils visited the enterprise showroom of CCCC. Li Wei – Deputy Director of Youth Work Division of CCCC guided the visit and made detailed explanation.
Li Wei vividly introduced the origin of CCCC’s logo, main connotation of “CCCC with Five Main Fields” in combination with many large projects constructed by CCCC, Li Wei showed the excellent performance of CCCC in the infrastructure construction fields and made the primary school students feel the different “engineer” culture. At the Q&A session, the students enthusiastically answered the questions, actively participated in the discussion and the atmosphere was very brisk.
This visit does not only further deepen the close relationship between CHEC and Xizhong Street Primary School, but also shows the enterprise charm of CCCC and CHEC to the primary school students. After the visit, one student wrote, “I have never thought that the engineers around us could build so grand projects, connect Hong Kong, Macau and Zhuhai together and make our life easier and better through the transport facilities.”
Since the Youth League Committee of CHEC established the volunteer service station at Xizhong Street Primary School in early 2012, there have been volunteers participating in over 100 lecturing activities, which covered the countries in Southeast Asia, Middle East and Africa, and these activities have achieved a good effect. In early 2016, this service model was named “Big Hands Holding Small Hands to See the World Together” Capital Volunteer Service Station.
